The mass points method is a technique that simplifies solving problems involving ratios of line segments in a geometric figure. When this method is used to solve the problem, it is much faster and easier than other methods such as proportion relationship, auxiliary line drawing, or area addition. In many cases when you use this method, you can explain your solution verbally without pen and paper.
